All Bodies Yoga
All Bodies Yoga is a class for people who don’t think Yoga will ever be for them. Sound familiar? Yoga is meant to be for every body, so whether you can touch, or even see your toes, you will find a place here.
This is a class with plenty of modifications for members of our community who are overweight, dealing with chronic pain, injury, disabilities or who just want to slow down and focus on the yoga pose by pose. Our facility is handicap accessible, so feel free to come in your chair! We also have a few chairs for those members of our community who would prefer to do the practice from a seat. There is very little pressure put on wrists, and many of the poses are modified with the wall, for those members of our community with hypertension. This is a slower class, but it is by no means lazy. It asks all participants to face themselves on the mat and lets face it – that can be hard. That’s why the community in this class is so important. Together we can achieve anything, and this class brings us together.
All Bodies yoga is a reminder that yoga is meant for all shapes, sizes, and ability levels. Everyone can do yoga. So come by and check it out: Monday at 7:30pm and Saturday at 9:15am.

I came to Yoga Seed at a particularly low point in my life. Yoga Seed offered me a safe space to calm my mind and focus on finding peace. The classes offered gave me a healthy routine and something to look forward to every week. Over the last six months I have noticed positive changes in my body and mind. I am overall healthier, better rested, and I have an easier time freeing myself of life’s many anxieties. Most importantly, I have a better appreciation of myself and the love I can offer others.

I just had to write and let you know how much I have gotten out of the All Bodies class. I am a bit overweight and had been apprehensive about showing up for a yoga class. I have arthritis in my knees and hips, and a pretty serious case of COPD, too so I was worried about not being able to do what I was “told” to do during class. I didn’t think I would fit in with a “typical yoga crowd”. Afterall, I have yoga DVDs and all I had ever seen were a bunch of skinny chicks twisted up like pretzels. When the All Bodies class was suggested to me, I jumped on the chance to attend a class where I wouldn’t stick out like a sore thumb
I am so glad I went to that first class!
I love the atmosphere, and the fact that we are asked at the beginning of class if we have anything we want to address. I love it that it is OKAY if I am having a painful day and can’t do (for example) a good downward dog, I can do it against the wall. This is sometimes called a “wall dog” during class, but I call it a half-dog. (smile). My point is that for every pose, there is a modification that is not just acceptable but ENCOURAGED. We are nurtured and taught to nurture ourselves. This class has given me the confidence to venture into a beginners class & a yin class. I still go to the All Bodies classes, it is here that I learned to listen to my body and love & accept what it wants & needs. Everyday, it needs to be cared for in a different way and at the Yoga Seed Collective, I am encouraged to do what is best for me at the moment. Bonus: I now know that there is no such thing as a “typical yoga crowd”. You are YOU and pretty awesome just the way you are.
