Yoga Class FAQ
Welcome to YOUR community space for yoga!
-
How much does it cost?
Suggested donation for yoga classes: $10-$15 per class.
“Donation-based” means that we contribute to the community by giving generously when we can, so when we cannot, the community is there to carry us. Help us grow strong so that we can continue to thrive. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. If you cannot make the minimum suggested donation, please talk to us about trade services and other things you can do to contribute.
We are now accepting credit cards (visa, mastercard, or discover). Cash and checks are always welcome. We also offer monthly passes $60 (if you are in need), $80 (if you need), and $120 (full price). You can pay online through our scheduling system, or you can come to the studio and pay. Gift certificates are also available!

What are the differences between classes?
On our online schedule, you can click the class title to get a description of each class. Yin is a slower style of yoga with long holds that helps to release fascia in the body. Yin/Yang is a mix of yin (long holds) and yang (active) poses. Vinyasa classes all incorporate vinyasa flow between asana, and can be sweatier classes. Please click here for more information about our programs, including All Bodies, Queer Community, Yoga Para Todos, and Yoga for Recovery.

What should I wear to Yoga?
Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in, that you don’t mind getting a little sweaty. Don’t worry. Yoga isn’t a beauty contest as far as we know, so wear what is comfortable and come on in.
-
Can I come to Yoga if I can’t touch my toes?
Of course! How else are you going to get there? We recommend coming to a beginner class, a yin class, or to one of our beginner’s workshops, but in some people, tight hamstrings or a tight psoas muscle will prevent them from touching their toes for a very long time. That is OK! Yoga isn’t about turning yourself into a pretzel, it is about unwinding and settling into your true self.
-
What do I need to bring to class?
Bring yourself. We have mats and props available to borrow at the studio. If you do have your own mat or props, please bring them so that our supplies can go to those without. Some classes can get a little sweaty, so it is also nice to bring a water bottle and/or a small towel to wipe your sweat on. We also have water and rags at the studio, but again, bring your own if you have them.
-
How early should I be there?
Come 10-15 minutes before class to get settled, signed in and grounded before class begins. If you can’t make it early, no problem. Just walk in and set up at the back of the studio.
-
Can I sign up online?
