Zack is the Studio Director and co-founder of The Yoga Seed Collective. His classes often include arm balances and inversions that anyone can partake in, and a musical touch that can include chants, sound therapy, gongs, and exploration of Bija Matras and Nada Yoga. His classes include everything from meditation to playful jump throughs, and he always brings it back to yoga philosophy and intention.
Initially Zack was drawn to yoga to help deal with lower back pain, specifically problems stemming from an extra lumbar vertebrae. Yoga turned out to provide numerous tools for self-healing and excellent preventative care, including the vanishing of back pain, and greater focus and mental clarity with the development of meditation and pranayama breathwork. Zack trained with Gonga White at the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara where he received his 200 hr certificate in 2009. He is currently completing his 500 hr Yoga Therapist training at Purusha Studio in San Francisco, helping him bring elements of therapeutic yoga to his Mental Freedom classes and teaching style.
Before founding The Yoga Seed Collective, Zack was a successful High School Teacher for 6 years, working mainly with highly at-risk students. He was voted teacher of the year in 2008 for his innovative teaching style and excellent report with students. In addition to being the Studio Director at the Yoga Seed, you can also find Zack playing with WAHE at special events all over Northern California.
